: What happen if the goods are damaged?

A: The price that we quoted is very low and sorry that we cannot absorb the damages. However please have trust in our in-house packaging technique which we have refined over the years. For the last 50 shipments, the damages are almost zero. If you are still worry, we would suggest you to purchase an insurance to cover the goods. The premium is about 1% of the goods value for 110% coverage.

: Do you charge for packaging like other companies?

A: No. We will provide both the packaging materials and services to you free-of-charge when you place an order with us.

: What are exactly included in the sample pack? Or can we request specific items in the sample pack?

A: We will include sample from each categories of our products and it should consists 5-10 pcs in total. For example, the sample pack may contain 1 large vase, 2 medium vases, 2 small vases, and 3 plates. For stock and inventory reason, we do not allow you to choose specific items. However you may indicate to us the items, which you are more interested like just vases and plates. The sample pack will be couriered to you within 3 working days upon receiving your payment.

: Can you give me a lower price if I order more than the stated minimum quantity order?

A: No. Please trust our price and most important our quality. All of our products are handmade and they require lots of time and human effort to make them irregardless of the quantity. Please contact us at info@essentialcrafts.com if you have other requirements

: If I cannot find the design that I want, can you design and custom-made for me?

A: Yes. Together with our skillful craftsmen, we can design and custom-made the mango wood handicrafts according to your specifications. However there will be a higher minimum quantity order to justify for the high set-up cost.Please tell us what you want.

: What so special about mango wood?

A: Mango wood is a tropical hardwood and is abundant in Thailand. The old mango trees which have stopped producing fruits has to be cut down in order to give more space to the younger plants.Hence the supplies will be continuous. Mango wood has a very well defined and unique wood grain which make it different from other wood such as teak, rose or rubber. In view of the smaller trunk size, it is most suitable to make handicrafts like vases.

: Why there is a burning smell with the handicrafts?

A: During the making process, the mango wood handicrafts are kiln dried in a smoke room to get rid all the moisture within the wood. Hence there will be a smoky or burning smell with the products especially when you first unpack them from the cartoons. This is perfectly normal and the smell will disappear after a while.
